Prior to 2002, I worked in a corporate environment. A diagnosis of cancer (for the second time) prompted me to research links between lifestyle habits and health. There appeared to be overwhelming evidence linking poor nutritional choices, stress mismanagement and a sedentary lifestyle to the causes of many diseases and disorders including cancer.
When I implemented many of the recommended lifestyle changes, I did not expect the physiological and psychological transformations that took place in my body within 6- 12 months Everyday anxiety attacks disappeared completely. Painful arthritic inflammation in the fingers reduced significantly, regular headaches disappeared and mood swings and low days became a thing of the past. I lost over 10 kilos without following any kind of calorie controlled diet and my energy levels increased considerably.
What astounded me most was the realisation that I didn’t know how bad I had felt until experiencing how good I could feel! Very few people are experiencing optimum health and are accepting poor health as the norm.
My understanding of the logical cause and effect synergism of the human body combined with my experience gave me a passion to develop this awareness in others. Having formalised my knowledge via recognised studies, I started my own company ‘The Right bite 4 U’, for which I acquired the advanced EIS medical class 2 equipment. In 2009 I created Workforce Welfare to deliver the workplace health programme showcased on this web site.
With my degree in human resources management, I have an understanding of strategic planning, health & safety regulations, government health initiatives and the importance of employer/employee relations. As a member of CIPD, I keep abreast of developments internationally, thus enabling the programme to evolve in line with current codes of `good practice’.
My life experience in a professional and personal capacity puts me in a unique position to offer the benefits of this invaluable corporate health package to your company.
